Good news for those who play the Air Guitar

Bad news for those of us in the same general vicinity.

Australian scientists create a t-shirt that allows air guitarists to play audible music

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the Wearable Instrument Shirt (WIS). This t-shirt has built-in motion sensors that pick up the air guitarists movements and transmit them to a computer, which generates the sound.

It’s an easy-to-use, virtual instrument that allows real-time music-making – even by players without significant musical or computing skills,” said the research team leader, Richard Helmer. (emphasis mine)

These researchers have also created the air tambourine t-shirt and the air percussion t-shirt. Brave parents will be sure to place these items on their Christmas shopping lists.
