November’s Mysteries

Over the past year, Democrats have held the lead in various generic polls.  Now, according to Gallups latest poll of “likely voters”,  that lead has evaporated.

Democrat’s edge erased in new poll

Gallup’s latest survey of voters who say they will go to the polls Nov. 7 showed the contest is a “dead heat” between those who say they will vote Republican (48 percent) and those who say they intend to support Democrats (48 percent). The poll of 1,003 adults was conducted Sept. 15-17.

Will the Republicans retain a majority in the House, or will the Democrats acquire one?  Since neither will have a filibuster-proof majority, will anything really change (in the land of practical reality)? If the Republicans win, will they actually behave as though they have won?  If the Democrats win, will they attempt to drag the nation through another futile attempt at  impeachment?  Who knows what will happen in November?

No one.  Should be interesting.
