charges against JonBenet murder suspect dropped

One of the most badly botched murder investigations of modern times remains open.  Officials have released their recently  imported suspect. Apparently John  Karr is just a nutcase who is  attracted to young children. Creepy – yes.  A murderer – no.

“Colorado prosecutors will not charge schoolteacher John Mark Karr with the murder of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey after tests showed his DNA does not match DNA found in her underwear, it was announced today.

Officials in Northern California have requested that he be turned over to them to face child pornography charges.

When even his former wife was providing him an alibi, you knew he had to be innocent. My guess is that he would have rather faced death row in the US than spend a full sentence in Thaliand.

That sounds like a good guess. Seven years in a Thai prison would be much worse than an even longer sentence in a prison here.
