How do I love me? Let me count the ways…

It’s time for the 2006 Emmys.  Once again, Hollywood prepares to give itself numerous awards. People are hired to dress the stars, put on their makeup, and fix their hair.  Then the big stars apply millions of dollars worth of borrowed jewelry so that all of us little people can bask in the warm glow of their glamour, thus bringing pleasure to our hum-drum lives. It’s great to leave hum-drum behind, even temporarily. Perhaps I will turn on the tube.

And  heeeeere come the potential recipients.

Stars arrive for Emmys

Video action here:  video action

In an attempt to compete for a viewing audience, ABC will be showing Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.  Hmmm. Decision, decisions.

Update:  Joan Rivers cannot move a molecule on her face except for her those located on her lips!  She looks like an automated and scary (and old)  Barbie.

Update II:  Mind-numbingly boring.  Time to watch something else.  Maybe I will check back toward the end to see if Bob Newhart will live or die.

What shall we do if Johnny Depp shows up at the Emmys?

Somehow I thought your comment would be more dramatic, even vile.
