National Guard to Arrive in Arizona

KVOA News 4, Tucson, Arizona – Arizona's first border troops expected to deploy next month

The first wave is due to arrive between June 6 and June 15.  The troops will be stationed there for about 21 days ( never becoming very familiar with the area before they leave ),  and will provide logistics (transportation), repair work, engineering (?), and road construction.  This will "free up"  the Border Patrol so they can focus on border security.

Really?  I was unaware that agents for the Border Patrol spent their time doing repair work and road construction.

Perhaps that explains a great deal.

So now  we will have  up to  6,000 members of the National Guard rotating in and out of that area, doing make-work and standing next to orange cones.  For a year.  What could be better?
