Difficulties With Definitions

One problem in the ongoing debate regarding climate change is the lack of consistent definitions.  This includes the definition of the term “climate change”. Roger A. Pielke, Jr., director of the Center for Science and Technology Policy Research at the University of Colorado, wrote an interesting article  about this  problem. (2004)  Check it out.

Believe it or not, the Framework Convention on Climate Change (FCCC), focused on international policy, and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), focused on scientific assessments in support of the FCCC, use different definitions of climate change
