Dolly Parton is currently touring Europe, bringing with her tons of luggage, mountains of hair product, and a face that has clearly been nipped and tucked. It would seem Ms. Parton is following the trail blazed by Joan Rivers – the “my eyebrows are in the middle of my forehead, and when I blink, my knees jerk” trail.

That picture has been doctored. Yes, Dolly has definitely had a lot of plastic surgery, but I have seen that picture before and it is not so extreme looking.

*Gasp* Are you saying the AP doctors photos?
Where did you see the other version of this picture? I would be happy to plug it in to replace the one above, which came directly from the newspaper.

I’m sad to admit that Dolly IS becoming frighteningly cartoonish – a fact that she seems proud of. She says she’s always looked trashy and has modelled her look after the town tramp from when she was a little girl, but I see a difference in the last 10 years. Her wigs in the late 80’s and all through the 90’s were very real looking with darker roots and natural blond colours. She used to wear classy beaded gowns and looked beautiful. Now she’s gained back some weight, pumped up her boobs so they’re round and not “boob” shaped, capped all her teeth and her lips are so huge it’s a wonder she can speak properly. She has always had a pronounced brow bone, but it too is now very exagerated. She has always claimed she isn’t a natural beauty, but she was beautiful. If she had allowed herself to age more gracefully she wouldn’t look so much like Raquel Welch and Joan Rivers. It’s sad really. She says she considers herself like a show dog/horse and doesn’t want to disappoint her fans. Too bad she thinks her appearance is of such a primary importance to her fans. ‘Cause it’s not.
