A Punishment that Wouldn’t Work in Prison

Throughout history, teachers regularly encountered students who didn't do their homework. The teachers would hear all the typical excuses. The dog ate it, it blew away in the wind, Orcs stole it at spearpoint, it was sucked into a miniature black hole, it mutated into a higher life form and ran away, etc. After the student finished this traditional performance, the teacher would give the student detention.
Then, one day, a teacher hit upon a novel idea to discourage disappearing homework.
AUTHORITIES in mainly Muslim Malaysia are investigating allegations that a teacher forced a group of 13-year-old students to watch porn as punishment for not doing their homework.

What is the punishment for students who leave or do not attend school due to the immigation legislation? I feel they have broken the rules of the school and they should have to abide by the rules when they are broken. There should be no justification for leaving or not attending school, due to the immigarion legislation.

They are suspended and fined for truancy.
